How to Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Wiregrass Area Food Bank!

Our hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Volunteers work in the warehouse in a variety of different jobs such as checking dates on canned goods, making boxes, unloading food donations from vehicles, cleaning, etc. The work varies according to the Food Bank's present need. If you would like to volunteer, please call the Food Bank at 334-794-9775 to schedule a volunteer opportunity. When it's time to visit the Food Bank, wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes and show up ready to work at 382 Twitchell Road, Dothan, AL 36303. Volunteers must be 16 years of age to work unaccompanied by a legal guardian. If you have any questions, please give us a call at 334-794-9775. 

If you would like to volunteer with our Brown Bag Program for Seniors, those dates are listed below. You’ll need to call ahead at 334-794-9775 to be added to the Brown Bag volunteer calendar.
